Everything you need to know about our formats, logistics, and way of working to ensure the music at your event is perfect.
Soul Day is a live music agency specializing in cocktail hours and elegant events in Valencia. We offer jazz, swing, blues, and soul lineups — from duo to quintet — featuring professional musicians, curated repertoire, and a presence designed to elevate your event's atmosphere without ever interfering with conversation.
Our repertoire focuses on jazz, swing, soul, blues, and bossa nova. All music is selected to work well in cocktail settings: elegant, immersive, and at a volume that allows for natural conversation.
We work mainly at wedding cocktail hours, corporate events, private celebrations, grand openings, rooftops, and hotels. Any event looking for a sophisticated atmosphere and quality live music is our ideal setting.
We offer four formats adapted to each type of event:
Pricing varies based on the format, duration, and logistics of the event. As a rough guide, a trio for a 90-minute cocktail in Valencia starts at €700. For a quote tailored to your event, we recommend a brief 5-minute call where we can refine all the details.
It depends on the number of guests, the space, and the type of atmosphere you're looking for. As a general guide: for cocktail hours with up to 50 guests, a duo or trio works perfectly. Between 50 and 150 guests, a trio or quartet is ideal. For larger events or those with a stage, the quintet provides the right presence. During our call, we will recommend the format that best fits your event.
Yes. We include one special song at no additional cost if requested with reasonable notice — for example, a meaningful song for the bride and groom or a corporate anthem. If you are looking for a highly personalized repertoire or specific arrangements, we offer that as a premium service with additional rehearsals.
Yes, that is something we do regularly. Our arrangements transform modern hits into jazz, soul, or swing versions that fit the event's aesthetic. If you have a specific song in mind, let us know, and we will confirm if we can include it.
Both options. We offer vocal and instrumental lineups in all our formats (trio, quartet, and quintet). You can listen to and compare both versions in the videos section of our website to decide which fits your event best.
The process is simple and hassle-free:
We recommend booking at least 4-6 weeks in advance, especially during peak wedding season (May to October). For specific weekend dates, the sooner the better: musician availability and dates are limited.
Yes, we work in both indoor and outdoor spaces. For outdoor events, we need access to a power outlet. If the space requires it, we can manage professional sound equipment. We always prioritize a clean and balanced sound, regardless of the environment.
Yes, for small to medium events we have our own sound equipment designed for cocktails: compact, discreet, and with elegant volume. If the event is larger and requires superior sound equipment, we handle the rental at the most competitive market rates. If the venue already has equipment or there's a DJ, we adapt and use that without any issues.
Standard performance durations are 60, 90, or 120 minutes, including breaks if necessary. The most popular duration for wedding cocktails is 90 minutes. We can adapt the duration to your event's specific needs.
Our musicians always dress elegantly and appropriately for the event. The standard attire is smart casual or semi-formal in neutral tones. If your event has a specific dress code (black tie, themed, etc.), we will adapt accordingly in advance.
We are based in Valencia, but we travel wherever your event needs us. We have our own transportation, which gives us total autonomy to travel anywhere in Spain or even internationally for special events. We just need to know the location to adjust the logistics and provide a fixed quote with no surprises.
Yes, we work regularly with hotels, estates, restaurants, and private venues. We are familiar with the technical and logistical requirements of these spaces and coordinate directly with the venue manager to ensure everything flows smoothly.
Three fundamental aspects:
Live music provides something no DJ can replicate: human presence, subtle interaction with the environment, and a sophistication that transforms a cocktail into a memorable experience. A jazz trio playing live creates an atmosphere of natural elegance that a playlist, no matter how good, cannot achieve. For the party afterwards, a DJ is perfect — but for the cocktail hour, live music is what makes the difference.
